Eskvalley Starlight Express
Star was a bit of a surprise to say the least!

Esklvalley Starlight ExpressHe is a stunning Bright Bay/Dun cob who has the most superb laid back nature you could find in a horse and was an exceptionally well natured colt. He was shown at County level as a yearling and placed in good company, behaving impeccably.
A big substantial colt, he was sold last year, gelded and has been broken in under saddle. He has fantastic owners, Carl and Michelle, who have provided him with a super, loving fun home.

Crabbiesden Callan Fier
(Callan is olde Scots for Boy and Fier is olde Scots for Friend)

Crabbiesden Callan FierSolo was bought with his dam, Durris Candlelight and his half sister, Crabbiesden Cantie~Fier in 1999. I wasn’t going to buy him as wasn’t looking for a colt, however my sister persuaded me to do so-thankfully!
He was a devil of a colt, liked nothing more than charging at you in the field and boxing with his front legs right in your face! He had the run of over 30 acres and thought he was king of the hill!
He got halter broken and I worked a lot in hand with him and his half sister (the Richard Maxwell & Lesley Bailey book and Monty Roberts books would accompany me to their field each day!) by the time he was a yearling he was an angel and has been ever since!!!
Solo was prepared for ridden work as a 3 year old turned away and was re-started as a four year old, when he was backed and ridden away.
Then my sister decided that she must have Solo as I had decided it was time to sell him on so he could have a ridden career as I was to busy to do this at the time. She bought him on the condition that he went away to get restarted, having had a break from work for over half a year and Jenni being a novice rider, so he subsequently went to Debbie Rodwells in Ayrshire, who did a lovely job with him.

Solo and Jenni are now based at Muirmill International Equestrian Centre. He has been a gem with her from day one and she is a very sympathetic rider and super owner, he goes without nothing and is so well looked after. He in turn has looked after her well, loves hacking, lessons and both have been introduced to jumping.

Minyfford Montgomery Express

Minyfford Montgomery ExpressWelsh Section D stallion born 1994 by Derwen Paddington Express and out of Felinmor Miss Magic by Nebo Magic. A cracking Welsh Cob, he was bought looking a bit thin and was going to be put on a dealers lorry to go down south the day I went to see him! Monty is definitely the ultimate Welsh Cob Stallion. He has it all, subtance, paces, looks and on top of this he was the easiest and kindest Welsh Cob stallion I have had the pleasure in knowing. Brought back to full health he was to be my ridden stallion, being a lovely well schooled ride, however due to circumstances at work this was not to be. We found him the most wonderful home with Ailsa Barnes of Blackpool and she is over the moon with him – recent news from Ailsa – he qualified for PUK Champs on the flat and jumping - 5th in a class of 47 in a style and performance class - he also took 8th in the ridden m and m stallion class and behaves beautifully.
A REAL success story – thank you Ailsa for giving Monty an absolutely wonderful home.

Runshaw Cariadog

Oscar was purchased from the Runshaw Stud, Lancashire, along with his half brother Storm. Being of mainly Coed Coch breeding he was the bee knees. A mini cob – he was quite shy to start with and was a Houdini!
In 2004 it was decided to break him in to ride. He was lunged and long reined, backed and ridden away in July 2004 and did a small amount of work as I really was too big for him!
Due to unfortunate circumstances Oscar was put up for sale in winter 2004 and he found a super home with Helen Wooley of the Cherrytop Stud in Devon. It was a tearful day when he left us, he had the most gentle nature and was loved to bits. He has landed on his feet at Cherrytop and is very well looked after and loved. He will no doubt be coming out under saddle in the near future.

Runshaw Andreas

Storm was a gorgeous palomino colt, beautifully bred, with Coed Coch bloodlines.
He was a poppet to handle and had action to die for. He was bitted and prepared for the Royal Highland Show in 2003 and although unplaced in the large senior stallion class, he was perfectly well behaved and shone at his first ever outing. In January 2004 he left us to join the Rushton Family, of Microponies and Rochedo Stud, Derbyshire. He was expertly broken in by Tanina and her daughters and went out to win his first two shows under saddle, in very good company no less!

Terackie Golden Xara

Beautifully bred filly, Xara was a stunning Palomino Welsh Section D. She was sold to Rachel Gillam , of Mentmore Stud, where she has gone on and been broken to ride.

Sordifa

15.2hh, Chestnut, thoroughbred gelding, who was by Tate Gallery out of Firdosa. His grandfather was the late great Northern Dancer. Nipper was at first a very quirky horse having not wanted to race as a youngster! Beautifully schooled and with a jump of over 5ft when he felt like it! He was shown only once under saddle winning a large Riding Horse class at the Penicuik Hunter and Lass Show.
He was sold to Nadia and Family, of Old Pentland where he has gone on to do a bit of everything and proven to be very reliable and kind.

Mister Bobby

Registered Exmoor gelding, by Don Xiote. Robbie was given to me as a 6 year old, as he had proved to be too much for his owners. Once a few issues had been resolved! He went on and was placed in hand at Drymen Show and under saddle at Devon Leisure. He was sold to a retired lady to join her other Exmoor and is hacked daily around the beautiful Dumfriesshire countryside.

Indigo Blue

15hh Show Hunter Pony, Kizzy was shown under saddle and sold to a showing home in Argyll.

Rochedo The Chance

Rochedo The ChanceCremello Welsh Mountain Pony. Chance is dam of Eskvalley True Romance. She is a grand daughter of Springbourne Boy Blue and great granddaughter of Penual Mark. A superb mare, she was a real sweetie and excellent broodmare. Chance was sold to Vicki Mathieson, Denmark in November 2004. We took her down to Newcastle where Owen Jones of the Nebo Stud transported her abroad. We would highly recommend Owen for any of your transport requirements.
